Paper Trading Day 42 of 90

Sitting up late on Saturday night writing this post, Collingwood are about to be knocked out of the preliminary final by Geelong and I can drown my sorrows along with my good friend GW who's team lost the other preliminary last night. To Julie I make rude gestures to you and your team.

FOREX:
Closed a short trade on US Dollar / Japanese Yen today making a profit of $810.90 and receiving an entry signal from Lifestyle trader to enter a long trade.

Profit on Open trades is currently $15,172.65 while closed trades is -$6,783.40 a total profit of $8,389.25 which is an increase of 22.67% on my opening account.

COMMODITIES:

Profit on commodities is slightly down on yesterday. Lifestyle trader signal a short entry for Corn, an exit on short trade with Rough Rice and an exit on a long trade on Wheat.
Profit on open trades is currently $7,906 while closed trades remains at $13,476.50 for a total of $21,383.25 an increase of 44.55%.

I am at another Workshop this weekend and that is why this post is a "little" bit late. and there really isn't a lot to report.


FOREX:


closed 2 trades,
  • Short trade on Euro / Swiss Franc taking a lose of $312
  • Short trade on Euro / Japanese Yen taking a lose of $1,623.50.

Lifestyle Trader also signaled an exit on a short trade on US Dollar / Japanese Yen.

Profit on Open Trades is currently $12,981.60 and closed trades is currently -$7,594.30 an increase of 14.56% on my original account.

COMMODITIES:

No exits or entries and nothing closed. Profit on open trades is currently $9,665.25 while profits on closed trades is $13,476.50 a total of $23,141.75 an increase of 48.21% on my original account.

Paper Trading Day 40 of 90

Another cold wet windy day in Melbourne so I dont think I will going for a walk this morning.

FOREX:

A slight improvement on yesterday. I closed two trades today:
  • Long Trade on British Pound / US Dollar taking a profit of $980.
  • Long Trade on US Dollar / Canadian Dollar with a lose of $864.

ARLT signaled the following exits and entries:

  • Exit signal for short trade on Euro / Swiss Franc with an entry signal for a long trade.
  • Exit signal for short trade on Euro / Japanese Yen with an entry signal for a long trade.

Profit on open trades is currently $9,040.80 while closed trades is -$5,658.80 a total of $3,382.00 an increase of 9.14% on my original account.

COMMODITIES:

I was stopped out of another two trades today and fortunately because of trailing stops I managed to make a profit on them both of $510. The two trades were a Long trade on Corn and a long trade on Cocoa. Yep my horror story (cocoa) is doing it again. After two weeks of steady growth it dropped like a lead balloon.

Profit on open trades is currently $6,761.00 and closed trades is currently $13,476.50 a total of $20,237.50 an increase of 42.16%.

Paper Trading Day 39 of 90

Non writers block is happening again. With plenty of other things on my mind its seems to be very hard to get started this morning so I took a walk first to clear my mind and get a bit of clarity.

FOREX:

Closed a short trade on US Dollar / Canadian dollar taking a profit of $1,352. I also entered a long trade on this pair but received an exit signal with an entry signal for another short trade.

I also had exit signals for the a long trade on British Pound / US Dollar with a signal to enter a short trade and an entry signal for a long trade on Euro / British Pound.

Profit on open trades is currently $6,369.90 and closed trades is currently -$5,775.50 a total profit of $594.90 an increase of 1.61% on my original account.

COMMODITIES:

Loads of action here today, I was stopped out of four trades:
  • Short trade on Soybean Meal taking a lose of $1,840 with an entry signal for a long trade.
  • Short trade on Soybean Oil and due to trailing stops made a profit of $498 with an entry signal for a long trade.
  • Short trade on Soybeans and trailing stops allowed me to take a profit of $1,700 with an entry signal for a long trade.
  • Short Trade on Orange Juice, trailing stops gave me a profit of $1,405.50 with an entry signal for a long trade.

I also closed three other trades today:

  • Short trade on Wheat with a profit of $1,380 and received an entry signal for a long trade.
  • Long trade on Feeder Cattle with a profit of $50.
  • Long trade on Live Cattle with a lose of $120.

Profit on open trades is currently $8,015.00 while closed trades is currently $12,966.50 a total of $20,981.50, an increase of 43.71%.

Paper Trading Day 38 of 90

Wow what a long weekend that was. It seemed like a whole week, however we got some very valuable information. The workshop was called "a look inside the Grants internet business", if you are interested in making money from the internet then I urge you to go see them.


FOREX:

Today ARLT signaled an exit on my US Dollar / Canadian Dollar Short trade with a signal to enter a long trade.

I closed two trades today taking a total lose of $2,805:
  • Long trade on Euro / Japanese Yen
  • Long trade on British Pound / Japanese Yen

My theory that non US Dollar pairs are more stable than US Dollar pairs seems to have been turned on its head as they are not doing so well now and it is the US Dollar pairs that appear to be performing better.

Profit on open trades is currently $9,396.43 while closed trades is -$7128.30 a total profit of $2,268.12 an increase of 6.13%.

COMMODITIES:

Commodities are sailing along nicely, I closed my Short position on Oats today taking a profit of $910.

ARLT had several exit and entry signals:

  • Exit signal for a short trade on Wheat
  • Exit signal for long trade on Feeder Cattle with an entry signal to go short.
  • Exit signal for Long trade on Live Cattle with an entry signal to go short.

Profit on open trades is currently $13,441.00 while closed trades is currently $9,893 giving me a total profit of $23,334.00 an increase of 48.61%

Paper Trading Days 36 & 37 of 90

What an interesting but tiring weekend I have had and it's not over yet, another day left of an internet marketing workshop that I am attending, followed by a traders club meeting tomorrow night. The football last night with my magnificent Maggies (Collingwood Magpies Australian Rules Football Club for those readers that are O.S.) snatched victory in the dying seconds of the game. One more win and we are in the grand final.

FOREX:

First time for everything, I entered a long trade on Euro / British Pound at the stop price so I guess I immediately exited at the same price making zero dollars. I also closed a long trade on US Dollar /Japanese Yen with a lose of $880.60 while also entering a short trade and closing a long trade on Euro / Swiss Franc with a lose of $400.00 with a signal to enter a short trade.

There was also an exit signal for my long trade on Euro / Japanese Yen with an entry signal for a short trade plus an exit signal for my long trade on British Pound / Japanese Yen with an entry signal for a short trade.

Profit on open trades is currently $9,147.80 while profit on closed trades is currently -$4,323.30 a total profit of $4,824.50 or an increase of 13.04% on my original account.

After day 6 of non US Dollar pairs profit on open trades is - $1,964.75 while closed trades is -$719.60 a total lose of -$2,684.35.

COMMODITIES:

The last two days has seen a steady growth in my account. I have closed four trades
  • Short trade on Corn making zero dollars and entering a long trade
  • Long trade on Rough Rice with a lose of $780 with a signal to enter a short trade
  • Short trade on Soybean meal with a lose of $200 with an entry signal to go short (lines crossed twice in two days)
  • Long trade on Lean Hogs since its delivery date is coming up making a profit of $2360

Profit on open trades is currently $12,038.75 while closed trades is $8,983.00 a total profit of $21,021.75 an increase of 43.8% on my opening account.
